You can harness the energy of the fire element to support your intention-setting this new year with this simple 3-day practice to help you focus on your intentions & bring forward the qualities you will need to see those intentions manifest in the world. Use this practice after you have gained clarity about your intentions.
The practice. You will need an unburned candle (a tea light is perfect), something to light it with & a little time each day.
Begin by getting quiet & focusing on your breath. Hold the unlit candle in your hand & imagine that it represents the potential energy of your intentions. Take a moment to recall your intentions, bringing to mind the words, phrases or images that bring these intentions to life in your mind’s eye. When you feel ready, blow these intentions into the unlit candle as if you were infusing the candle with all the possibilities that these intentions represent for you. Do this three times (or until it feels complete to you). Place this candle (with a written list of your intentions or a representative image if it feels appropriate to you) in a space where you can comfortably pause & meditate for the next three days.
For the next two days, get quiet & focus on your breath; light the candle. Ask the fire element to help you focus on what you want to bring to life; feel these intentions in your body, mind & emotions as if they were already true; blow out the candle at the end of your meditation.
On the final day, get quiet & focus on your breath; light the candle. Ask the fire element to help you see what you need to magnetize, to do or to bring into your life to manifest these intentions; allow yourself to become aware of what might need to change, be released, shifted or acted upon to bring these intentions to reality; ask the fire element to strengthen within you the power to transmute your life. Allow the candle to burn out completely.
